Harvest
December 12, 2026 | 6:00 pm
In honor of America’s 250th Anniversary, and in collaboration with Virginia Tourism Corporation and Culpeper Tourism, Gather is pleased to present three remarkable dinners set on the historic grounds of Salubria Manor. Each evening explores a different chapter of early American food traditions—how people provisioned, foraged, and harvested from the land that would become the United States. Join us for Gather’s second dinner—Harvest—a celebration of abundance and community.
Menu
As the growing season draws to a close and the landscape settles into winter, the Gather table turns to the traditions that sustained early American communities through the colder months ahead.
Drawing inspiration from historic harvest gatherings, the evening’s menu will feature the grains, vegetables, meats, and preserved foods that once filled larders and cellars in preparation for winter. Root vegetables, orchard fruits, hearty grains, and thoughtfully preserved ingredients reflect the rhythms of the land and the resourcefulness of those who depended on it.
But harvest has always been about more than the food itself. It is a moment of gratitude—a time when neighbors and families came together after months of work in the fields to celebrate the season’s abundance and share what the land had provided.
At Salubria, guests will gather for a warm and festive evening inside Salubria Manor that honors the land, the season, and the enduring tradition of sharing a meal together. As candlelight flickers and the evening settles in, the Harvest dinner brings the Salubria Series to it midpoint with the same spirit that has guided communities for generations: gratitude, hospitality, and the simple joy of gathering.
The meal will be prepared by Frida Johansson, former private chef to the Ambassador of Sweden, whose historically inspired approach brings both authenticity and creativity to the table. Each course will be paired with thoughtfully selected beverages and seasonal ingredients that reflect the region and the spirit of the evening. The full menu remains a surprise until the evening unfolds at the table.
Guests are welcome to share any dietary restrictions when purchasing tickets, and our culinary team will do their best to accommodate.
