In honor of America’s 250th Anniversary, and in collaboration with Culpeper Tourism, GATHER sets the table at Salubria Manor for a series of three evenings. Each Gathering explores a chapter of the early American table, how people provisioned, preserved, and lived from the land. Only three GATHER evenings will unfold at Salubria Manor during America’s 250th Anniversary.
Guests will gather at a single long table for a five-course dinner prepared by Chef Frida Johansson with thoughtfully paired beverages and stories shared beneath the Virginia sky. By reserving your Founders Table seats early, you enjoy special pricing before standard ticket rates apply.
Our first Gathering, Provision & Forage is an unforgettable evening inspired by the early American table—where provisions carried across the Atlantic meet ingredients foraged from Virginia soil. A single long table. Five thoughtful courses. Stories shared beneath the Virginia sky.
Prepared by Chef Frida Johansson, former private chef to the Ambassador of Sweden, each course is accompanied by thoughtfully selected beverages that reflect the region and the spirit of the evening. Food historian Michael Carter Jr.—author of Africulture—will share insights drawn from his family's century farm in Orange County, Virginia.
Dietary needs are welcome and accommodated whenever possible. GATHER intentionally limits seating to preserve the intimacy, conversation, and connection that make each evening special.
