In honor of America’s 250th Anniversary, and in collaboration with the Virginia Tourism Corporation and Culpeper Tourism, Gather presents a series of three dinners set on the historic grounds of Salubria Manor.

Each evening explores a different chapter of the early American table—how people provisioned, preserved, and prepared for life in a new land.

This inaugural dinner, Provision, is a celebration of People, Table, and Place.

The Menu

For this evening, the menu reflects what was carried across the Atlantic—preserved foods, grains, and provisions that sustained long journeys and early settlement.

Guests will gather at a single long table beneath the open sky as the evening unfolds.

The meal is prepared by Frida Johansson, former private chef to the Ambassador of Sweden, whose approach brings together historical inspiration and seasonal cooking.

Each course is accompanied by thoughtfully selected beverages—wine, ale, cider, or other seasonal offerings—chosen to complement the menu and reflect the spirit of the early American table.

The full menu remains a surprise until you arrive.

Dietary restrictions are welcome and will be accommodated whenever possible.

Your Evening

• A relaxed welcome gathering with light bites and curated beverages
• A five-course seasonal dinner shared at a communal table
• Thoughtfully selected beverage pairings throughout the evening
• Non-alcoholic options available
• A candlelit setting at Salubria Manor designed for conversation and connection

At its heart, the evening celebrates the simple magic that happens when people gather together in a remarkable place to share a meal.
